Heart worm is the only heart disease that can be pro-actively prevented by heart worm medications

Many dog parents are concerned with the side effects on the kidney. All medication has side effects.  Vets would normally prescribe the effective  dosage at the lowest quantity, in order to avoid reliance on the drug and reduce side effects.  Always discuss with your vet about any concerns you have.
